- Her estimated birth date and marriage date are a bit problematic.
In 1416 Maria v. Nyenhoven (1st wife of Gerhard van O.) was still alive, therefore the earliest he could have married Aleid von Suytkamen would be in 1417 and the birth of Aleid's daughter Dorothea could then have been in 1417 or 1418.
However before 22 Aug 1421 (or 1427) Dorothea had died as a married woman.
The only explanation we can think of is that Dorothea had been the daughter of Aleid v. Suytkamen and her husband Evert. v. Wischel and that Gerhard van O. adopted Dorothea and gave her his last name, when he married Aleid, after Maria v. Nyenhoven had died after 1416.
Dorothea's marriage in about 1414, in Kalkar, was to:
Ewerd (Eberhard) Ferber
Children:
- Nale (Nathalie) Ferber
- 20 January 1430 Johann III Ferber
These children (definitely Johan III) must be from a later marriage, because Dorothea Ossenbrugge died before 22 Aug 1421.
