      1282 bezeugt Ritter Genekin v. Ossenbruch den Ankauf der Mühle bei Weeze durch das Kloster Grefenthal.

      In 1289 Genekin war Droste des Grafen von Cleve.

      "Het hertogdom Kleef" van Dr. Theo Ilgen. Uit deel II pag. 18-20:
      Genekinus Ossenbroich, in zijn hoedanigheid van dapifer (= Kleefse schildknaap) uit 1289, toen dat nog een graafschap en nog geen hertogdom was;

      In the book "Annalen der Stadt Emmerich meist nach archival. Quellen by Andreas Dederich. 1867" there is a story that a Margaretha von Neuendorp was robbed of her goods (in ~1282).
      A comission, consisting of the gentlemen Nicolaus named Tengenagel, and Genekin Ossenbrinc would legally determin on how to rightfully grant her posessions.
      This was at the time of Count Reinald I van Geldern (1271 - 1318) and the Count of Cleves Theoderich VIII. (1275 - 1305).
