  Schepen van Kortenhoef 1577, Substituut-Schout jan. 1577, Schout van Cortenhoeff juli 1579. Hij tekent zijn handtekening als Jan Jans Dorlant of Jan Jans. In een turfslagboek genoemd in 1594. Maakt zijn testament als Jan Jans Zoen Dorrelant, ziek op zijn bedde maar sijn memorie ende verstand wel kunnende gebruiken. Zijn huijsvrouw wordt alleen Christina genoemd. 27 Dec. 1595. Lived in Loenen in 1542. He made his will in 1595 as Jan Jan's son Dorrelant, "abed, lying ill, but well able to use his memory and sense".(This phrase, often used, was necessary to prevent other relatives from questioning his will).
