  That this Witte Leendertzn belonged with the family "WITTE" is demonstrated through the processing of the estate of his daughter Boudijntje Witte August 23, 1668, who had died childless and intestate. With the next generation "WITTE" became a surname. Mentioned in the church accounts "Heilige Geestrekeningen" of Goedereede 1596-1617 and in the polder accounts of Oudeland and Oude Nieuwland as leasing land.
