Ondertrouw 31 maart 1661 in Zoelen en Rijswijk
We have known for a long time that Dirck was married to a Geertje OTTEN, but we knew nothing more about her. Turns out in their Rijswijk marriage record, they also list Zoelen / Soelen in the ondertrouw. When one then goes to the Zoelen marriage / birth records, there one again finds Geertje OTTEN and Dirk Berendtsen … and Geertje's original birth records also.
Turns out that Geertje's last name is 'van der Heijden'. Father is Otto Theissen van der Heijden and mother is Maritgen Gerhards van Maurick.
The records show that they had their first child in Zoelen and then moved back to Rijswijk and had more children there.
Interesting … the only other 'van der Heijden' in our database in Marie van der Heijden who is the mother of Rachael Quaet who married Wolter (Wouter) van Ossenbrugh in the 1650s (so the same time period). Not sure yet if the two van der Heijdens are related.
