Notes - She came from the town of Middachten.
Most probably we are talking about Jenneken Anthonijsen (van) Middachten, daughter of Anthonij van Middachten, and baptised in Lochem on 28 December 1586. Support for this assumption is found in the record of the baptism of a child of Toennijs van Middachten on 24 November 1582, also in Lochem. (We must rely on a transcript; the register is unreadable as scanned.) This Anthony, Toennijs, Thoenis, Thonis van Middachten, born around 1540, could very well be a son of Henrick van Middachten and Margareta (Margrieta) van Visbeeck (Vischbeek). This Henrick van Middachten is probably the brother of Caerl van Middachten (I1888).
It should be possible to reconstruct the family Van Middachten based on document abstracts contained under the entry 0522 Huis Middachten in the Gelders Archief (archive of the province of Gelderland). The family is also described in the Nederland's Adelboek, year 1949. However, this branch has not been described for unknown reasons.
It should be emphasised that the name of Nicolaes, or equivalent, is not being found within the Van Middachten families that have been mentioned here.
